Fire Walk
Captain Justin Wasilkowski — known lovingly as Waz — is the heart, strength, and fire behind our ceremonies. He is a true hero in every sense of the word, and there is no one more qualified to guide a Firewalk. With over 32 years as a Captain for Miami‑Dade Fire Rescue, Waz has dedicated his life to protecting others, mastering fire behavior, and leading teams through some of the most challenging situations imaginable.
Waz served as a Communications Expert with Urban Search and Rescue (USAR), responding to historic disaster sites including 9/11, the Oklahoma City bombing, Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Andrew, the Montserrat volcano eruption, the ValueJet crash, and the Haiti earthquake. He is a founding member of Homeland Security and has been deployed on specialized missions to Bosnia, Africa, and other international locations for confidential security assignments.
Throughout his career, Waz has received numerous commendations for bravery, leadership, and life‑saving service. His expertise with fire extends far beyond emergency response — he also served as the Fire Captain for Tony Robbins’ firewalks around the world, responsible for building the fire lanes and safely guiding several hundred thousand participants across the coals.
Today, Waz is a principal with FireWalk Adventures, based in Boone, North Carolina. FireWalk Adventures brings Firewalks and Glass Walks to communities across the globe, offering transformational experiences rooted in safety, intention, and empowerment. With Waz leading the fire, every ceremony is held with the highest level of integrity, expertise, and heart.
THE FIRE WALK
For many people, the idea of walking on fire brings up fear — and that’s exactly why this ceremony is so powerful. Our Firewalk is not about proving anything or pushing through pain. It is a sacred, guided experience designed to help you release old patterns, reconnect with your inner strength, and step forward with intention.
Firewalking is a ritual of transformation. With each step, you are invited to let go of what no longer serves you and claim a deeper sense of courage, clarity, and trust in yourself. It is one of the most empowering experiences you can have — and once you do it, you understand why so many people return to the fire again and again.
I walk my talk. I have walked on fire more than 50 times, and I’ve witnessed the profound healing that happens when people choose to face the fire with an open heart. My son walked as a child, and I have supported countless individuals through this process during my years volunteering at Tony Robbins’ “Unleash the Power Within.”
